About Barracuda Reputation Block List
The BRBL is a real-time IP reputation list built from Barracuda’s global spam sensors. It’s used by Barracuda security products and third parties, so a listing can block a meaningful slice of business mail.
Why an IP gets listed
- The IP sent mail that Barracuda’s sensors scored as spam.
- The IP lacks valid reverse DNS (a common trigger).
- A compromised host or misconfigured server is emitting junk.
How to delist from Barracuda Reputation Block List
- 1Make sure the sending IP has valid, matching reverse DNS (PTR) — Barracuda expects this.
- 2Stop the spam source and fix any misconfiguration.
- 3Submit the Barracuda removal request form with your mail server’s IP, your email address, a phone number, and (recommended) a short explanation of what you fixed.
- 4Wait — with a valid explanation, removals are typically processed within about 12 hours. Incomplete or duplicate requests are ignored.
