About Passive Spam Block List (PSBL)
PSBL is a lightweight, evidence-based trap list. Its removal page shows exactly when a trap received mail from your IP and when it was previously removed, and it lets you delist yourself instantly.
Why an IP gets listed
- A PSBL spam trap received email from the IP.
How to delist from Passive Spam Block List (PSBL)
- 1Stop whatever sent to the trap (compromised account, bad list, misconfigured script).
- 2Go to psbl.org/remove and enter the IP — removal is immediate.
- 3Note: if a trap sees mail from the IP again, it will simply re-list, so fix the source first.
Before you request removal: fix the root cause first — delisting while the problem persists almost always leads to a fast re-listing. Confirm the IP has valid reverse DNS, and that your SPF, DKIM and DMARC are in order.
