About UCEPROTECT Level 3
Level 3 lists an entire Autonomous System (a whole provider’s network) when it carries too much spam. It’s the most collateral-heavy UCEPROTECT level and is widely considered too broad to use for hard blocking.
Why an IP gets listed
- Your IP is on a provider network (ASN) that UCEPROTECT scored as heavily spammy overall.
How to delist from UCEPROTECT Level 3
- 1Understand this is out of an individual sender’s control — it targets the whole ASN.
- 2Report it to your hosting provider so they can address network-wide abuse.
- 3If a specific counterparty blocks on L3, ask them to use a less aggressive list, or use UCEPROTECT paid express whitelisting for your IP.
Before you request removal: fix the root cause first — delisting while the problem persists almost always leads to a fast re-listing. Confirm the IP has valid reverse DNS, and that your SPF, DKIM and DMARC are in order.
